Mrhazardous spends an hour in Yore

    Awesome to see this kind of organic play through experience with a running commentary. Going through and making notes along the way, big thanks to MrHazardous(https://www.twitch.tv/mrhazardous) for taking the time

    1. Slow the exposure transition a little going into the cave
    2. Glow around the torch are too noticeable
      1. Material was set to additive for some reason by the original creator.. We've changed that which should improve this
    3. Not being able to things up/move them around: Unfortunately we bake the static lights and AO in all underground/indoor maps. Meaning if you can pick up large objects it'll leave it's shadow on the ground..
    4. Reverb in Caves: Just added that in
    5. Wind affecting plants in cave: You aren't seeing individual polies on the plants you are seeing planes with alpha sheets on them.
    6. You're rendering scale set to 1.3 in Steam VR probably is having a negative impact on your FPS at times. In the game, when you set it to ultra we set the scale to 1.3 or 1.4 so you are getting 130% of 130% which could cross the line with what the gpu feels comfortable with. We will be putting in a slider to manually adjust this down the road
    7. Weird light in the Dungeons: This is caused because the room is so huge and the shadow optimizations prevent the sun from getting properly blocked. However that should be fixed soon.
    8. How to get a sword - Going to get a little help scroll setup with some instructions on how to build stuff before entering the main world
    9. Seeing through bits of walls in the dungeon: Great catch, just fixed that
    10. Thanks for falling through the floor in the name of science.
    11. Grip anim when hand is empty different from when hand has tool
    12. Buildings above ground: Focusing more on the underground lately but definitely will be putting stuff above ground soon. Going through and adding more wildlife now actually
    13. Pickaxes aren't supposed to persist with you no, starter house is just there to provide a self-contained play area
    14. Magically getting teleported back home - we have a safety net under the world to catch you if you fall through, it got rotated some how and was sticking above the ground in places
    15. Lack of instructions for crafting - I've added a help scroll to the door with instructions

    Overall it is fantastic to see walkthroughs like this, really gives me a good idea of what needs to be improved and made more intuitive. Contemplating even putting a sword or something in the dungeon, maybe a bow/arrow. Maybe I'll add some more bad guys in there first to guard it, we are looking at some undead dudes to added to the dungeon today along with some other goodies and fixes.. Doing a big lightmap bake overnight so might get the update into alpha/beta tomorrow or monday for testing

    Really enjoyed that walk thru. Will be jumping into it tonight to see the changes made with the update.
