It's been a busy week getting our online presence sorted out but we're making great progress. Still work to be done but here's the list of the various places you can find us:

    http://www.playyore.com
    https://facebook.com/yorevr
    https://www.youtube.com/c/PlayYore
    https://www.twitter.com/yore_vr
    https://www.twitch.com/yorevr
    https://www.reddit.com/r/yorevr
    https://www.imgur.com/r/yorevr
    https://discord.gg/Jgh2kUn

In terms of what's left to do we are figuring out the best way to share our roadmap with the community, so far it's a toss up between Trello or Mindomo. We also want to get a Wiki going, we've integrated a wiki plugin to the forums here but haven't set it up yet and lastly a dev blog and image gallery on the website.

If there's any feedback you have on any of the above, feel free to leave it below!

I've used Trello before and I like the way it's laid out. Never have used Mindomo, but use whatever is easiest for you guys to update.

We will probably do both of them to be honest.. Mindomo is a much better way to visualize plans like that, but trello allows public voting on features so it is great for community involvement

In all honesty the name of the game came about because of our desire to make a game for and with the community. It's a clever moniker of course but we have worked with hundreds and hundreds of Dev's and most of them share the same philosophy: "We just wanted to make the game that we always wanted to play but didn't exist". And power to them, they are insanely creative and brilliant people but for us we knew we had some good ideas on doing open world VR however we also knew that the collective input of hundreds or thousands of people are going to trump any smarts we have over here . This has driven our entire approach and is one of the reasons we want to get Yore into your hands ASAP here so we can stop working in a bubble and start having your feedback drive development

Only somewhat related, but as the awareness campaign rolls out on social media and such, it might be prudent to reconsider the YVR short hand for Yore VR. YVR is the airport code for Vancouver, British Columbia, and plenty of folks in Instagram and Twitter will use it for Vancouver posts, and would likely cause confusion as well as burying any Yore VR posts. #yorevr is probably short enough, and I kind of like the idea that it sounds like "Your VR" or "Your Virtual Reailty", as though it belongs to and is driven by the players and the community. Just a thought.

Growing up for 20+ years in Kelowna this is the first thing that crossed my mind when we named it and I wrote down the initials :) It's just something we use internally although even then I'm sure regardless of the acronym you have there's an airport somewhere in the world that has it as a code

Your thoughts are spot on @Ingeneering and good call about YVR!

What do you think about the line "Yore virtual life awaits..."? We've been brainstorming taglines and it would be rad hear everyone's thoughts!

haha I love the pun @BmoreCurrant and I think it's a good one, however, perhaps "Yore virtual adventure awaits" might be a tad stronger? Since it is a game and not a Second Life VR :D

Edit: Or even "Yore virtual STORY awaits" works too!
